Who Are We?

DebbieDebbie has been a paramedic with the Scottish Ambulance Service for over 27 years. She is currently based in the regional training centre in Falkirk where she trains both new and qualified staff. Her spare time is spent mainly being active in the outdoors. She enjoys running, cycling, summer and winter mountaineering and sea kayaking. She has competed in many triathlons and road running races and has cycled from John O’Groats to Falkirk and London to Paris. She has also climbed many classic mountaineering routes on Ben Nevis and in the Alps.

MalcolmMalcolm has been a paramedic with the Scottish Ambulance Service for over 18 years. He began his career in West Lothian before moving to Forth Valley where he now works at Stirling. In his spare time Malcolm volunteers for the Ochils Mountain Rescue Team where he attends call outs in the Ochil hills and Fife areas. He also enjoys mountaineering having climbed all over the UK, the Alps and Himalayas. He also runs, cycles and more recently sea kayaks. He has completed the notorious Marathon des Sables and the 95 mile West Highland Way Race several times. He has also cycled the 720 km Raid Pyreneen in less than 100 hours.

At home together Malcolm and Debbie live in Larbert, Stirlingshire with Debbie’s with their two border collies Toby and Roy. Debbie has a son who lives and works in Ballater and Malcolm has a daughter, Lauren, who lives and works in Ayrshire.
